Parabroker/Loan Processor/Lending Specialist (2 Full Time Positions available)

8 Collective Finance currently offers one of the largest ranges of lending solutions to our clients. Most of our business comes from repeat applications from existing clients and new referrals from these clients.

We hold our own Australian Credit Licence and have access to over 46 lenders via the AFG network. We specialise in residential, commercial, SMSF, equipment and asset finance. We pride ourselves in providing market-leading service to our customers.

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with the business owner and the existing finance team, managing all aspects of product research, loan assessments and processing. This is a full time role with 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday hours.

You will be part of a team that has a strong digital and paperless focus when it comes to setting business processes. We also recognise that everyone has a part to play in the successful delivery of exceptional experiences for our clients each and every time they deal with us.

You will be responsible for the initial assessment of loan applications, loan processing, file management including follow-ups, lender/business liaison and relationship management of our existing client base.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous phone-based and/or face to face direct lending sales experience
  • Strong command of business English with a clear, articulate telephone manner
  • Experience working with a mortgage broker or in a finance role as a credit officer/lending specialist
  • Cert IV or Diploma in Finance & Mortgage Broking is preferable but not essential
  • Comm Dec or JP qualified is preferable but not essential
  • A high level of professionalism
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills enabling the candidate to deal effectively with the business partners, broker team and clients
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high pressure and volume, dynamic team environment
  • Success-oriented, self-motivated individual with very strong work ethic
  • Work ethically within the strict industry compliance standards
  • ‘Can do, will do’, team player attitude with high levels of motivation and integrity
  • Excellent numeracy, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Experience using FLEX

So what will your day look like? General tasks may include

  • Managing client relationships, keeping them up to date with progress and outcomes (pre & post-settlement)
  • Conduct loan interviews and ensure all information and supporting documentation is received
  • Compiling and collating loan applications
  • Product research and analysis
  • Loan servicing
  • Preparing applications for initial credit assessment
  • Managing the correspondence between the brokers and clients
  • Database management and updating of client files throughout the application process
  • Loan structuring and submission to lenders
  • Following and managing loans through to settlement
  • Communicating with external parties (e.g. lenders, solicitors, Real Estate agents) to ensure deadlines are met
  • Keeping customers informed of loan progress
  • Ongoing client contact – loan reviews, variations and retention
  • Ordering property valuations with various lenders
  • Equipment & Asset finance applications
  • Database/pipeline nurturing and lead generation
  • Entering loan applications into the database and lodgement system  (AFG/FLEX)
  • Completing file management and follow-ups
  • Assisting with client annual reviews
  • Providing support to the Mortgage Broker as required
